You step into the binding with your boot, press down on the heel pedal, and the highback and straps close automatically. With a firm 8/10 flex, Solid Power Highback, and 3° Canted Footbed, the Lightning Supermatic is designed primarily for responsive all-mountain riding. And the best part? You don’t need special boots—the system works with virtually all traditional snowboard boots.

Flex

8/10 - Looking for optimal support while snowboarding? Then the BRAND + NAME snowboard binding with a stiff flex is for you. This binding offers very direct power transfer and is specially designed for backcountry and powder riding. With a stiff flex, you’ll enjoy maximum control and responsiveness—ideal for experienced snowboarders seeking top-level performance.

Baseplate

Slip Plate & 3° Canted Footbed—The construction beneath your boot features an extra-large Slip Plate with a smooth UHMW surface, allowing your boot to slide easily in and out of the Supermatic system and reducing snow buildup. The 3° Canted Footbed naturally brings your stance inward and aids in power transfer and pop. There’s also a Heel Shock Pad under the heel to better cushion hard impacts and landings.

Highback

Solid Power Highback - The Solid Power Highback is sturdy and asymmetrically shaped to deliver plenty of control and direct power transfer. This pairs perfectly with the binding’s 8/10 flex. Using the Revolution Cube, you can also adjust the forward lean from 10° to 19°, in 3° increments.

Straps

Dual Band Ankle Strap Firm – This strap features a larger surface area with structural ribs for greater responsiveness and precision.

The Flip Fit Toe Strap can be flipped to better fit different snowboard boots. For most boots, use the standard position. If your boot is right at the upper limit of the selected binding size, the strap can be flipped to create more space.

Ratchets

LSR 2.0 Buckles – The LSR 2.0 Buckles allow you to precisely adjust the straps around your snowboard boots. This means that, in addition to the automatic Supermatic entry system, you also retain the familiar feel and adjustability of traditional straps. So you’re not entirely dependent on the automatic entry system.
