Description
The Tecnica Mach Sport LV 85 W 2027 Black ski boots are designed for recreational to intermediate female skiers with relatively narrow feet who are looking for comfort, support, and control on the slopes. With a flex rating of 85 and a 98 mm Low Volume last, this women’s ski boot combines an accessible flex with a snug fit. The four micro-adjustable aluminum buckles provide a secure fit, while Quick Instep makes putting the boots on and taking them off easier. Thanks to the Ecodesign W.S.D. Sport N.F.S. Adaptive liner, Celliant material, and Mechanical Cuff Adapt, this model is ideal for female skiers who want to improve their technique without having to choose a stiff performance boot.
Flex: 85
With a flex index of 85, this Tecnica women’s ski boot offers relatively flexible to medium-stiff support. The boot bends forward smoothly, making it easier to build pressure when initiating a turn.
The flex provides sufficient support for controlled on-piste skiing and a gradually more active skiing style. An appealing choice for female skiers who are further developing their technique and seeking a good balance between freedom of movement and stability.
Fit & Last Width: Low Volume – 98 mm
The Mach Sport LV 85 W has a narrow fit with a nominal last width of 98 mm. This Low Volume construction was specifically developed for skiers with a relatively narrow forefoot and a smaller foot volume.
The anatomically shaped shell and N.F.S. Adaptive liner help to securely and supportively encase the foot. The Mechanical Cuff Adapt also offers options to fine-tune the fit around the calf.
The last width is a nominal reference value and varies with the Mondopoint size. Your instep height, heel shape, and overall foot volume also determine whether this ski boot fits well.
Closure System: 4 Micro-Adjustable Aluminum Buckles
The Tecnica Mach Sport LV 85 W features four micro-adjustable aluminum buckles that allow you to independently adjust the tension around the foot and lower leg.
Thanks to Lift Lock, the buckles remain open when you put the boot on or take it off. A 35 mm Velcro Power Strap provides extra support at the top of the cuff and helps improve contact between your shin and the ski boot.
Liner & Footbed: Ecodesign W.S.D. Sport N.F.S. Adaptive
The anatomically shaped Ecodesign W.S.D. Sport N.F.S. Adaptive liner is designed to combine comfort and support for female skiers with a smaller foot volume.
The N.F.S. Adaptive construction provides a supportive fit around the foot, while the integrated Celliant material is part of the liner’s thermal material composition.
The liner forms an important foundation for a stable fit. During a professional boot fitting, we can assess whether additional support with suitable insoles would be beneficial.
Shell & Cuff: C.A.S. Shell & Quick Instep
The polyurethane shell combines an anatomical shape with sufficient support for controlled on-piste skiing. Tecnica’s C.A.S. construction allows specific areas of the outer shell to be tailored to the individual foot shape.
Quick Instep uses more flexible material around the instep, making it easier to step in and out of the ski boot.
The polypropylene cuff features W.S.D. Mechanical Cuff Adapt, which allows the fit around the calf to be adjusted. The forward lean angle is 14 degrees.
Sole & Binding Compatibility: GripWalk
The pre-mounted GripWalk soles comply with the ISO 23223 standard. They offer more traction and a more natural rolling motion when walking off-piste.
These ski boots are compatible with ski bindings that are explicitly compatible with GripWalk. Not all traditional alpine bindings support this type of sole. Therefore, always have the compatibility of your specific binding checked and have the binding professionally adjusted.
Level: Beginner – Intermediate
These Tecnica ski boots are particularly suitable for beginner skiers with a solid foundation and intermediate skiers who want to further develop their technique.
The 85 flex provides support for controlled turns and a relaxed to sporty skiing style. Thanks to its narrow fit, this model is particularly appealing to skiers who find that wider ski boots offer too much room to move.
For very powerful skiers seeking maximum support at high speeds, a stiffer model may be more suitable.
Size Guide: Mondopoint & Fit
Choose your ski boot based on your foot length in centimeters, expressed in Mondopoint. Your regular European shoe size is only a guideline.
With this narrow Mach Sport fit, your forefoot width, instep height, heel volume, and calf shape are also important. The boot should fit snugly with a stable heel, without any uncomfortable pressure points.
A ski boot that’s too big can cause extra foot movement and reduce control. Therefore, don’t automatically choose a larger size if a new ski boot feels tight.
Stoked Boot Fitting Advice
At Stoked in Halle, we especially recommend this Tecnica model to female skiers with relatively narrow feet and a lower foot volume who are looking for a comfortable, supportive on-piste ski boot. We pay special attention to the heel closure, the space over the instep, and the fit around the calf. Thanks to the C.A.S. Shell, Mechanical Cuff Adapt, and, if needed, supportive insoles, we can specifically optimize the fit wherever the construction and your foot shape allow.
