Oakley Inc. is based in Lake Forest, California USA. Oakley is a subsidiary of Italian corporate giant Luxottica based in Milan. Oakley was founded in 1975 by James Jannard in his garage with an initial investment of $300. The name "Oakley" came from Jim's English Setter, "Oakley Anne".

Oakley designs, develops and produces sports and lifestyle equipment, including sunglasses, sport visors, snowboard goggles, clothing,
backpacks, shoes, optical frames and other accessories. Most items are designed in-house at their headquarters, but some have exclusive designs relevant to their market. Oakley currently holds over 600 patents for eyewear, materials, and sports equipment. This only shows their passion for innovation and quality.

Most of Oakley's technological designs, equipment, etc. are developed with extensive input from athletes and field testing, including extreme conditions. Just the way we like it. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Oakley released the MSK3 mask , with an innovative design to prevent fogging of the goggles.

Oakley has iconic facemasks, like the Loose Cloth Face Masks. The Line Minner and the Flight Deck series are top of the line snowboard goggles. And with the Latch and Holbrook sunglasses, you're also ready to make the apres-ski unsafe! .

Our Stoked sponsored skateboarders AND snowboarders agree: Oakley from Stoked Boardshop is the way to go!
